Have you had an epiphany or a bit of inspiration? Has that lightbulb above your head brightened your whole day? We want to hear about it. Simply sign-up or sign-in and tell the world about it. We'll let you know how great an idea it really is.
I had an epiphany! Obvious epiphanies should be booted (eventually) and great epiphanies should be rewarded!

This is so not an epiphany in any way. Just sayin'.

Umm...yes it is...Maybe this is their "realisation or comprehesion of the essence of something. Just sayin'

I have found it to be very true in MY life, but I had not thought about it for myself until a friend told me this quote.

have you ever noticed that people pray for rain then complain about rain getting on their cars. maybe they should have had a little faith and covered their car, or considered that before they prayed for it. just a thought
on 02/24/10 at 06:24 pm by chanie
...or maybe just be more specific - ask for it to rain everywhere except on their car. That might take even more faith, though.

I had an epiphany! Al Gore has a very violent last name yet is a democrat the preaches about saving the world. Such a waste...
on 02/23/10 at 11:23 pm by grifkait
agreed, he could be using that name for so much more
on 02/24/10 at 09:24 am by joeschmoe
I think his name could be an insult. "How Gore-ish is that?"

What about a Siamese twin?
on 02/24/10 at 10:24 am by joeschmoe

I had an epiphany! If people are so worried about robots taking all of the American jobs, why don't they just push the "Off" button?

user privelages
on 02/23/10 at 07:23 pm by elico3000
There are obviously other robots protecting the robots with the off button. I thought everyone was familiar with multi-layer security.

I had an epiphany! Even if you scored very high on a facebook i.q. test, the fact that you took an i.q. test on facebook shows exactly the opposite
on 02/23/10 at 11:23 am by joeschmoe
did you take the iq test?
on 02/23/10 at 11:23 am by elico3000
i don't want to talk about it
on 02/23/10 at 12:23 pm by joeschmoe
I bet my high score was better than your high score!
on 02/25/10 at 01:25 am by katiemia
everybody that takes it gets 'over 140! you're a genius!' even my twelve year old sister. that's what you got isn't it?
on 03/03/10 at 10:20 am by joeschmoe
you don't have a 12 year old sister...

I had an epiphany! The "learning model" at BYU-I has been bothering me. For those of you who don't know, it basically entails, learning and then teaching others so you gain a greater understanding of the material. Today as I was thinking about it, I've finally figured out why. At least in the Health Science department, it is poorly instituted. For example, for one class, you are put into a group and as a group you study a chapter and then on an appointed day you teach the rest of the class. The very next class period the teacher teaches the same chapter. Problems: 1) Not many people that I know likes group work; 2) everyone has to listen to the same material lectured on twice; and, 3) during the whole semester you learn and teach only one part of one chapter (because, undoubtedly your group split the chapter up so you did individual learning and teaching anyway) and this only gives you an advantage on that part of the chapter but not on the rest of the course material. I have an idea: If a teacher can't implement the learning model in a way that will actually be advantageous, he/she should just lecture and test and save the unnecessary, unproductive pain, please.

"you did individual learning and teaching anyway) and this only gives you an advantage on that part of the chapter but not on the rest of the course material"That's why the teacher goes over it again, so that you can learn all the material.

I had an epiphany! Saying 'beer can' with a British accent sounds identical to saying 'bacon' with a Jamaican accent.
on 02/22/10 at 03:22 pm by grifkait
i have probably said 'beer can' ... or 'bacon' i guess ... upwards of 20 times since reading this. you had an epiphany.
on 02/23/10 at 07:23 am by elico3000
Saitlin, only you. (me shaking my head) only you.
on 02/23/10 at 01:23 pm by joeschmoe
A lot of Jamaican girls go to my school, and a Jamaican sounds a LOT like a british accent, kind of in the same way an african-american accent sounds like an American accent
on 04/10/10 at 03:53 pm by emmalee

I second that motion
on 02/25/10 at 11:25 am by joeschmoe
any ideas?
on 02/25/10 at 07:25 pm by elico3000
I've had a few. What do we think of the "In Peril" page? I think we just need to think of what kind of combinations would justify getting booted.
